Apple TV has released the trailer for Season 2 of Sugar, the neo-noir detective drama starring and executive produced by Colin Farrell. The new season introduces Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, Sasha Calle and special guest star Shea Whighams

What happens in Season 2 of ‘Sugar’?

Per the official description, Season 2 sees Los Angeles private detective John Sugar (Farrell) staying on earth in hopes of finding his sister while taking on a new missing persons case, “searching for the older brother of an up-and-coming local boxer. As the investigation expands into a sinister, city-wide conspiracy, Sugar must reckon with himself to answer the question: how far will he go to do what’s right?”

The complete first season of Sugar is now streaming on Apple TV.

Season 2 is showrun by Sam Catlin, who also executive produces under his Short Drive Entertainment banner. Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, Farrell, Scott Greenberg and Chip Vucelich also executive produce. The series is created by Mark Protosevich.

When does Season 2 premiere?

Sugar Season 2 debuts June 19 on Apple TV with one episode, followed by new episodes weekly every Friday through Aug. 7.
